THE SIN OF FORNICATION— MARY, A MODEL OF PURITY

CHAIN OF EVIL
"Foolish virgins! Why do you choose to live in this world of earth? Have you become blind to modesty? Has vanity invaded your hearts? Woe to those who cause the downfall of Our dedicated by their examples. You are all following the evil circle, My dedicated; for it is like a chain of evil, link by link. By your example you build a solid chain to hell. For woe to those entrusted with the souls of the little ones, and who lead the little ones to hell!" - Our Lady, November 21, 1970

Our world is steering towards damnation and the desire towards evil is increasing. Society's way of viewing sin has become so loose that things are seen as normal when they are not. Mankind was without sin from the beginning and sin, undeniable, entered the world through the action (disobedience) of one individual. Sin now stays with mankind and even as a 'relative' to society. Our daily lives are almost always characterised by the struggle against sin.

Sin according to St. Augustine is Contra Legem Aeternam. Thus, “anything against the eternal law”. The eternal law is Love. God is love and therefore, anything against love is against God. The natural / eternal law of Love has been misconstrued and the vice of Lust, animated by the Arch demon Asmodeus, is taking over.  Sin against the body is what I want us to look at today. Our Blessed Mother at Fatima said “Many people go to Hell because of the sins of the flesh ”. One of such is Fornication. Fornication is a mortal sin and therefore, is a grave sin. It cuts us from God. To be linked to God again, we need to do Penance.

Fornication has taken over the world and people do not revere their bodies anymore. We come, in contemporary times, to view the human body as a sexual being. Eventually, we undermine salvation. Mary is presented to us as a model of Purity. She is referred to as a Virgin awaiting to be married by Devout Joseph. She never knew man. What do we see in our world today?  We witness a total deviation from this model of Purity. Man indulges in all forms of sexual immoralities ranging from improper dressing to the immoral act of sex (related to the unmarried).

Youths are seen wearing all kinds of dresses all in the name of fashion and modernity. This is not done in private but in public and people find nothing wrong with it. Publicly, those in the movie and music industries go further to portray such unreligious acts for the public to sight at. These industries are not portraying the true Christian Spirit and hence one should be careful in an attempt to enter such industries. Man exposes himself (opens the door) to evil both spiritually and physically. We become physically and spiritually naked.

Have we come to think about the call to become Holy and imitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary? Whatever we do affect others. If our actions lead others away from the right path and destroys the Christian Spirit in an individual, we shall be held accountable.

Brethren, let us amend our ways and follow Christ, imitating Mary, Mother most Pure. Let us leave behind the world and all its enticements. Let us join with St. Peter, the Apostle and say, “Ecce nos reliquisimus omina. Thus, we have left everything behind and followed you”. Let us us this Month of the Rosary to ask the Lord for forgiveness and do Penance.

Hence, my brethren, mind your acts, shun fornication, imitate Mary, the virgin most pure, avoid the sight of immoral acts in all spheres and you shall be closer to the Lord and He will draw near to you. May Mother Mary intercede for us.

Amen

Those whose hearts are pure are the temples of the Holy Spirit.

Certain fashions will be introduced that will offend Our Lord very much.” - Our  Lady of Fatima to Blessed Jacinta

Today is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, Corpus Christi. Today is also the very first month of June. June, traditionally, is dedicated to devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Let us focus on the readings. We might expect the readings on this day to be full of rubrics about bread and wine, explicit instructions about the Eucharist, and clear explanations of what is happening on the Altar. However, the readings give us a hunger test in the desert in the first reading, a one-sentence argu...

11TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME (YEAR A)

1st Reading                 Exodus 19: 2-6a Psalm                            100:1-2, 3, 5 (R. 3c) R:// "We are his people, the sheep of his flock"  2nd Reading              Romans 5: 6-11 Gospel                         Matthew 9:36-10:8 ALWAYS DISPENSE GRACE Friends, Peace and Goodness! Today is the 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Year A). As usual, we have three sets of readings. We shall focus on all three readings with one detail each from the three readings. The first reading is from Exodus 19:2-6a, the second reading is from Romans 5:6-11 and the Gospel passage is from Matthew 9:36-10:8. Let us dive quickly into them. The first reading, from Exodus 19: 2-6a situates Israel within the desert. Israel just left Egypt two months earlier. After the Red Sea incident, they entered th...

THE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY SUNDAY (YEAR A)

1st Reading             Exodus 34:4-6, 8-9 Psalm                        Daniel 3:52, 53, 54, 55, 56 (R. 52b)   R:// "Glory and praise for ever!" 2nd Reading            2 Corinthians 13:11-13 Gospel                       John 3:16-18 TRUE GOD Friends, Pax et Bonum! Today is Holy Trinity Sunday. Today, we celebrate the Divine Community. However, when we open the Scriptures, the first reading, from Exodus 34: 4-6, 8-9, takes us back to Mount Sinai. There is a difficulty because the text of the first reading contains no formal language about the Three Persons in One God. It explicitly speaks about God's oneness. I want to suggest that there is a key to unlocking what is Trinitarian about today's first reading.  The text of the first reading looks relatively short but dense. Let us attempt to unpack...
